“The Fierce Club is a yoga studio, event space and all-around life transforming destination in the midst of SoHo, New York City. Our main style is Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga, created by co-owners Sadie Nardini and Shannon Connell. Our cutting edge yoga, which is designed to give you a 90-minute gym-strength, cardio and muscle-sculpting workout in just 60 minutes, we’re real, and use real life as our classroom.
Named “One of the Top 10 Ways to Change Your Life” and “Calorie-torchers” by New york Magazine, our signature Power Hour classes will give you all the benefits of most other styles’ 90 minute sessions…in only one hour! Great for multi-taskers and busy people who want the full mind/body workout, without spending hours at the studio or gym.
We also offer events by well-known authors, lecturers and teachers from all across the country. Whatever you do at The Fierce Club, it will expand you body, mind and heart…and rock your world.”
What would Chirstian Siriano have to say…?
Ya…fierce club has a whole lot of kinks to work out. Classes aren’t hard, temperature is all weird bc of the door situation, and the cement floors were a baaaad idea. Plus the changing room situation kinda sucks, but maybe they aren’t finished building it yet. Hopefully they’ll get it together though- downtown could use a good studio!
And by the way…my boyfriend and I call it the tranny, fierce, fierce, tranny, tranny club. Thanks SNL and Christian Siriano…
HMMM…A LOT of students say the exact opposite as you, B…in fact, we have people every day saying that the classes kicked their butts, that the LOVE the yellow cement [wood floors are exactly as hard, BTW]…AND that they adore practicing there. And these are the picky ones!
OH AND YES, OUR CHANGING ROOMS ARE TOTALLY DONE.
guess you can come try it out and see what you think!
FIRST CLASS FREE!

By the way…
if you’re looking for a hard class…
…come take mine.

I agree with B. I went last night and have to say…very disappointed. temperature was weird, class was NOT hard, and the cement floors were tough to practice on. There was also no adjusting by the instructor. We hardly did any poses, mostly just sit-up variations. Sorry Sadie! I had high-hopes.
Sadie, Shannon, and their cohorts -
Stop going around town and passing your cards out at other people’s studios! That is unprofessional and really desperate! Have some self-respect and do it the right way. Give a well-instructed, thoughtful class that people will keep coming back to. Look at these reviews (and I have several from my own friends) – do something about achieving fierceness by giving a proper class. Self-proclaimed fierceness can only attract people to your class ONCE, and not again! I mean, guys, you have so much press about this opening. Make use of all those people buzzing about your studio, and give them something to come back to.
Hey, C!
Did you take my class or Shannon’s? Our instructors are harder than others, but I promise you if you come to us, I will deliver!
I don’t know what to say about the rest of your experience, since people seem to really love it here usually. Sorry you don’t!
as for SC, sorry, but I can assure you that we don’t need to hand out our cards at other places. The only time we would ever give a card is if someone asks us. We are not looking to promote our studio at others.
In fact, two of the biggest studio owners in town not only take my class, they were here at our opening party all night.
I stand by the Fierce Club, as Soooo many students absolutely LOVE it, and keep coming back over, and over. As yogis with 15 years experience in all the NY studios, this is the one we wanted to create, as it’s the way we love to practice.
I can only keep my integrity, and hope that the tribe will find us…and they already are!
Peace out, sisters…hope to see some of you here soon. Come decide for yourself.
xoxoSadie
The Fierce Club is a great space; fun to practice in, fun to be in, and overall, a happy environment. The classes I have taken have all been challenging, and if you practice the sequences the way they are instructed, they will kick your butt.
I have no problem with the floors. They are, as someone said,
the same as practicing on a wood floor.
I like the lack of pretension in the teachers, the cool vibe,
and the challenging flows. The core work is nothing like a bunch of situps; it’s about how the teachers tell you to move from your center, and use your abdominals to fire up the poses.
I should have mentioned that I volunteer at the place
as a Karma Yogi….it’s great there.
Just for the record… there is a different between cement and wood floors… every been in a dance or aerobic studio (or even another yoga studio) with cement floors? Didn’t think so.
All of us downtown yogis and yoginis need to initiate a call to arms for a good yoga studio!!! Seems like Pure has a monopoly right now, but its on the Upper East Side. Kula is all we’ve got down here…oy!
This place is great. Sounds like somebody has a vendetta.
Love the teachers, love the place, floors and all.
Hey there posters – funny thing about yogis who practice a negativity thing. Not all studios are for all folks – and here in Manhattan how lucky are we to have an awesome array of choices. But what IS UP with the dissing The Fierce Club? That’s just whack!
Sadie, Shannon, Brian and the team are an amazing, positive bunch nurturing each yogi to challenge him or herself – and core strength vinyasa is a powerful practice. Have NO idea where that ’sit-up variations’ thing comes from…but you only can stretch the limits you set for yourself when you’re on the mat…
I, for one, am thrilled and delighted to be able to go to a place that is all about great energy and welcoming yogis at all levels for an intense workout. It’s a fresh space and if you are open, encourages the kind of change – inner and outer – that many of us seek. I think the dressing room is totally creative! And what studio have I been to lately that doesn’t have a crowd in the dressing room? It’s kinda normal for Manhattan – who’s complaining?
But if TFC isn’t your cup of yoga tea, then namaste. There is plenty of room in NYC to avoid the ‘yogier than thou’ tude displayed here. Sorry for you. Try taking that irritation and turning it into intelligent action – not attacking language!
So, roll up your mat, find your challenge and go for it. For those of us who light up with fists of fire and waterfall warriors – thanks to heaven (or the universe or whatever works for you!) that Sadie and Shannon have created a place we can gather, create community, and express out from center! Now that’s building core strength!
Thanks, Sadie – and Shannon – for establishing a home for a bunch of us yogis who are SO happy to head over to Elizabeth Street!
Namaste!
Ahimsa anyone….ahhhhhimsa. Try or not, like it or not…expand your limits and realize that you might not enjoy what others do, but respect it if you want to believe your are part of the whole. It is unity, not uniformity that we need from our global yoga community. BTW….I love Sadie’s style and flow, and I only get via internet. I am a Yoga teacher and I dig what you do and what you give back.
xo,
A.
