For some reason this weekend I decided to do a fair amount of yoga, 2 hours Saturday and 3.5 on Sunday. Somehow I ended up in frog pose for an inordinate amount of time and boy oh boy can I feel it today.

I have very, very tight hips and actually have an abductor injury, so I usually shy away from any type of hip openers, even though I know I shouldn’t. I was in 2 workshops this weekend and the 2nd hour of them was yin yoga- my physical arch nemesis. I was recently on a retreat in Hawaii where we did an hour of yin yoga every afternoon- actually everyone else did, I skipped it after the first day. It hurts. No matter how good for me it might be (apparently you carry a lot of issues in your hips), I don’t want to do it. Ever.

So in an effort to get myself out of my comfort zone, increase my flexibility, and perhaps even explore some deep seated issues- I’m taking the doing frog for 5 minutes a day for 30 days challenge. I’ll let you know how it goes. And if anyone wants to join me and comment- I’d welcome the support. Yowzah.
