I am a certified yoga instructor – through YogaWorks – where I studied under Natasha Rizopoulos. I began Om La La as an adventure. This blog was born out of a dual sense of purpose- for sharing and for self-reflection. Ultimately, I’m here to have fun – in just the same way that I approach the mat.
The Om La La Yoga weekend retreats program has officially launched – check out the site www.omlalayoga.com.
Namaste!
Where the sun always shines
Just recently moving to Scottsdale Arizona,I was in search of a new yoga studio. I pleasantly found All In One Yoga. They have two locations one in Scottsdale, the other in Phoenix. I am a recent convert to yoga. I used to get my exercise by high energy aerobics or running. I was the person whom never bought into the spiritual side of yoga. Please, I was going to look like Madonna {were in the same age group} I couldn’t of been more wrong.
I have used yoga for the past few years to center my being. Yes,I said center very yogaish. When I have had stressful times in the past with my children, boyfriend or family, yoga always helped. My move to Arizona was a life changing event. Without yoga on some of my very lonely days,it would of been very tough. Yoga helped me in my move and helps me day to day in staying positive. Don’t get me wrong,it keeps me in shape and very strong. That is the huge perk, plus I love it. I’ve tried a few teachers at All In One Yoga, there is a stand out. His name is Alex. He plays great music and has a very calming effect on the class without putting you to sleep.Hey, anyone who plays “Mercy” from the new artist Duffy, gets my vote every time.
love all the photos on the website. liked the conversation with Hillary in relation to yoga…….
Hi Eliza and Britt,
My name is Tia and I am an editor at Opposing Views. I came across your site, liked what I read, and wanted to introduce us because we both write about health issues.
Opposingviews.com is a debate site where experts go head-to-head on many topics. I think you might be interested in our debate “Does Yoga Harm Your Body?” which can be found at:
http://www.opposingviews.com/questions/does-yoga-harm-your-body
The experts in our Health section include such names as Shirley Sahrmann and Dr. Omri Sitton.
I believe that you and your visitors will appreciate this debate and might want to weigh in with votes or comments. If you like our site, we would appreciate it if you would write about us or give us a link to the debate at:
http://www.opposingviews.com/questions/does-yoga-harm-your-body
You can create a profile page giving readers information about you and links to your site. Or, if it is easier, I can do this for you. In the next couple of weeks we will be adding a blogosphere section to each debate in which we will directly feature outside sites like yours.
Thanks for taking a minute to have a look at what we are doing. Let me know if you have any questions or recommendations for experts or debates.
Sincerely,
Tia
